A sight of things to Come

This photo was sent to me by Bruce whose son's friend just returned from Nepal and whose footsteps we will follow most of our trip. The left side of the ray of light coming out at a 45 degree angle is the peak of Mount Everest. It is a stunning shot, one most photographers would die for. I'm sure we will have many of these sights and our challenge will be determining when to stop taking pictures.

Money recieved in Nepal !!

Well, this is it. My friend Bruce from Toronto and I are embarking on a unique trip in March of 2009....a trek through Nepal rounding several peaks and culminating at Everest Base Camp. He notified me that our funds were recieved by wire into the trekking firms account and we are locked and loaded. Exciting? YES! Scarey...well maybe a bit.

I will be posting items to document my planning, which there seems to already be alot, my travels, and my thoughts, partly as a means of documenting and commenting for others who may someday want to do this, and as a communication tool for friends and family.
